Curved surfaces and sandwich construction can make machining difficult to support. Breakout, fraying and damaged edges increase finishing work and can complicate fitting and assembly.

Preparing Composites for Assembly

Gandtrack manufactures maritime cutting tools for applications involving glass fibre, carbon fibre and selected reinforced materials.

Our range includes:

• GT-50, GT-105 and GT-15 for suitable mounting and assembly holes.
• Cross-cut, shear-cut and PCD routers for selected profiles and openings.
• Kevlar tooling for aramid reinforcement.
• Reamers and countersinks for final assembly features.

Selecting tooling around the laminate, core construction and workpiece support helps achieve cleaner features with less corrective finishing.
